Cono Group appoints Francisco Balestrini as its new CEO

The Board of Directors of Cono has named Francisco Balestrini as its new CEO. Francisco Balestrini takes on his new role on 2 November 2020, succeeding Pablo Marziotte.

The Board of Directors of Cono has named Francisco Balestrini as its CEO.

Francisco, who brings a wealth of experience to Cono, was appointed by the board of directors after a thorough process. He is currently CEO of the Cooperativa Agrícola y Ganadera Rauch Ltda. and has held positions such as Commercial Manager, Head of Strategy and Development, Assistant to the Commercial Management, and Consultant in other companies. He has also lived and worked in Providence, Rhode Island (USA), where he served as Business Development Manager at Landscaping Concepts Inc. Francisco has an in-depth knowledge of the agricultural sector and a proven track record in executing growth strategies and leveraging new technologies. He graduated as an Agricultural Engineer from the Catholic University of Córdoba and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA – Specialisation in Marketing and International Business) from Providence College. 

The board is confident that with his experience and strong leadership skills, Francisco is the right candidate to lead Cono on the next stage of its journey.

The board also expressed its thanks to Pablo Marziotte for his great commitment and contributions to the growth of Cono since taking office in 2016. Pablo spearheaded the transition from traditional family-run business to professionally-led company with a focus on technology and innovation. During his tenure, Cono successfully built up its trading arm, expanded its product portfolio and augmented its processing plant, building substantial value for all stakeholders. 

Pablo, who has decided to leave the company for personal reasons, vacates his role at the end of September.
